Math In Art Digits And Art

GROUP: Negoita MIhai, Dobre Stefan, Ghitu Irina Mihaela (Bucuresti, Romania)

The concept of number from antiquity to the present is a topic that I choose because of the importance of numbers in life but also the complexity of mathematical meanings of these symbols of world knowledge. Although, in different cultures, the number may have different meanings, sometimes even antagonistic: death or happiness, good luck or the fortune. If they have different meanings, in mathematics everything is the same for all. Mathematics is a universal language and this this language has at his base the numbers.
The origins of mathematics are closely related to the concept of number, size or shape and with the advancement of science and the concept has evolved .Technological progress, although gaining other forms and meanings, assuming new values , concentrating the force of numbers and relationships secrets of the universe.
I think that number is and will remain always something special, a symbol, a concept that has marked the history, the obvious possible yet unsuspected resources.
But we want this project to tie art figures and numbers in two ways: to associate images of numbers but also about the artists that found solutions to represent them.
